Where is a graphite rotor used?

Graphite rotor is an accessory in the aluminum alloy smelting equipment, mainly used for the purification process in aluminum alloy smelting. During use, the transmission system drives the graphite rotor to rotate, and argon or nitrogen gas is blown into the melt through the rotating rod and nozzle. Dispersed in the form of bubbles in the liquid metal, and then continuously diffused through the rotation of the graphite rotor. Afterwards, through the principle of bubble adsorption, impurities in the melt are absorbed, enabling the melt to be purified.

What issues should be noted during the use of graphite rotors?

1. Preheat before use. Specific operation: Before immersing in aluminum liquid, preheat for 5-10 minutes at around 100mm above the liquid level to avoid the impact of rapid cooling on the material. In addition, before immersing in the solution, gas must be introduced first. To avoid clogging of the air holes on the nozzle, the rotor must lift the liquid level before stopping the gas supply.
2. Isolate the air. Nitrogen or argon gas is introduced into the purification chamber to isolate external air and prevent rotor oxidation. Reminder: Nitrogen or argon must be pure.
3. The immersion depth of the rotor. Expose the strengthening sleeve to the aluminum liquid level by about 80mm and immerse it below the liquid level by about 60mm, effectively increasing the rotor's antioxidant loss and erosion.
4. The transmission system is stable. If the relevant parts of the transmission equipment become loose, it will affect the overall operation of the rotor and be prone to damage.
