The characteristics of our graphite electrode

The characteristics of our graphite electrode:

1. Stable and reasonable prices:

The price of graphite material only requires 15% of the same volume of copper electrode. Currently, graphite has become a popular material for EDM applications, with lower costs and more stability compared to graphite materials.

  1. Easier cutting and processing
  2. 4. Lightweight and low density
  3. The density of graphite is usually 1.7-1.9g/cm3 (copper is 4-5 times that of graphite). Compared to copper electrodes, graphite electrodes will reduce mechanical load during this process. It is more suitable for applying large molds.
  4. 5. Good cutting processing
  5. Compared to metal materials, the volume of graphite is designed to be low. It has excellent mechanical processing performance.
  6. 6. Bonding effect
  7. Gravel ink can be bonded through adhesive, which saves time and material costs.
  8. 7. Higher resistivity
  9. The resistivity (ER) determines the resistance of the material to the flow of current. A lower resistivity means conductivity.

Graphite has excellent mechanical processing properties. The machining speed of graphite electrodes is 2-3 times higher than that of copper electrodes. At the same time, there is no need to worry about burrs after graphite processing.

3. Low thermal expansion coefficient

The melting point of copper is 1080 ℃, while the CTE of graphite is only 1/30 of copper at 3650 ℃. It has very stable performance even at warm temperatures. Even in the processing of platinum electrodes, graphite electrodes have significant advantages.
