Method of use for silicon carbide graphite crucibles

Silicon Carbide Graphite Crucible

Graphite crucible Silicon carbide graphite crucible is a container made of graphite as raw material, so it has excellent high temperature resistance and can be used in industrial metal smelting or casting. For example, in daily life, you can understand that there are often merchants in rural areas who repair aluminum pots or aluminum pots. The tools they use are crucibles. The aluminum sheets are placed in the crucible and heated with fire until they melt into aluminum water, Pour it again to the crack of the pot, cool it down, and then it can be used. However, graphite crucibles and silicon carbide crucibles are used in industry. Among them, graphite crucibles have good thermal conductivity, but they are prone to oxidation and have a high damage rate. Silicon carbide graphite crucibles have a larger volume and longer service life than graphite crucibles. We have been specializing in the sales and manufacturing of crucibles for 40 years. The graphite crucibles we produce are widely suitable for smelting gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, zinc, and tin, as well as for various smelting and heating methods such as coke, oil furnace, natural gas, electric furnace, etc. The graphite crucibles we manufacture are highly praised by new and old customers for their good quality and stable performance. We also introduce advanced crucible forming technology - isostatic pressure crucible forming method - based on market and customer needs, And a strict quality assurance testing system, the silicon carbide crucible produced by this technology has the characteristics of high volume density, high temperature resistance, fast thermal conductivity, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature strength, and high oxidation resistance. Its service life is even 3-5 times that of graphite crucibles. At the same time, it saves fuel and reduces labor intensity for workers. The price of energy-saving isostatic pressure crucibles and energy-saving isostatic pressure crucibles make this product widely applicable to the smelting of non-ferrous metals.

Graphite crucibles can be used in various furnaces, such as electric furnaces, medium frequency furnaces, gas furnaces, kilns, etc., for smelting gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, zinc, tin, and alloys. Correct installation method for graphite crucible and silicon carbide crucible

1. The base of the graphite crucible needs to have the same or larger diameter as the bottom of the crucible, and the height of the crucible platform needs to be higher than the nozzle to prevent fire from spraying onto the crucible.

2. When using refractory bricks as crucible tables, circular refractory bricks should be used, which are flat and not bent. Do not use half or uneven brick materials. It is better to use imported graphite crucible tables.

3. The crucible table should be placed at the center point of melting and melting, with coke powder, straw ash, or refractory cotton as a pad to avoid adhesion between the crucible and the crucible table. After placing the crucible, it should be level.

4. The size between the crucible and the furnace body should match, and the distance between the crucible and the melting wall should be appropriate, at least 40mm or more.

When loading a beaked crucible into the furnace, a gap of approximately 30-50MM should be reserved between the bottom of the crucible nozzle and the refractory brick, and nothing should be placed underneath. The nozzle and furnace wall should be smoothed with refractory cotton. The furnace wall needs to have fixed refractory bricks and the crucible needs to be padded with corrugated cardboard with a thickness of about 3mm as the thermal expansion space after heating.

The production technology of graphite crucibles is mainly reflected in aspects such as formula, raw materials, production equipment, and technology. In terms of raw material selection, we mainly use refractory clay, aggregates, natural graphite, etc. According to the different functions of each crucible, the ingredients and formulas we choose are also different, mainly reflected in the different proportions of various raw materials. The method is through compression molding, rotary molding, and hand molding, which is graphite molding. After making the molding, it is important to remember to dry it. After inspection, it is qualified, and qualified products can be glazed
